Party Time

The Cubs "reversed the curse". Awesome game!

Got up this morning and this is what I am thinking:

The fans around the country were losing their minds in celebration. Beers are flying...tears are flowing...hugs being exchanged. After 108 years of frustration, finally experiencing victory after over a century of having that "weight" on their backs...celebration is in order!

Though they had come close a few times...they weren't quite good enough up until last night. And the cheers and reporting of that victory that finally arrived are going on even now the next day...everyone is excited and relieved that the Cubs finally won. It was cool to watch.

"But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." Galatians 3:3

The Cubs were "cursed" for 108 years...mankind had been cursed for thousands of years!!! We had people that came close to being fully "good" but couldn't quite do it..."For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 And the enemy of our souls...Satan...continued to beat the literal hell out of us through the death nature inside our spirits resulting from what many know of as "original sin".

The overwhelming consciousness I have right now of the Ultimate Champion...Who single handedly devastated everything Lucifer and the fallen angels could muster and He then made available freedom to all men from the ultimate curse...separation from their Creator...their Father...

I am shouting today...praising today...jumping today...because the curse is broken and I walk with God today through Jesus Christ of Nazareth...the Messiah...the One True Living God...

"You know that when you were still pagans, you were led astray and swept along in worshiping speechless idols". I Corinthians 12:2

"...worshipping speechless idols..."

You can be genuinely worshipping and yet have your "god" or idol" be lifeless and unable to respond. Statues are speechless...idols with Christmas lights over their head are speechless...wind fire water and earth are speechless...pentagrams are speechless...speechless idols and philosophies of human reasoning are "mute" as they are worthless wastes of time as far as understanding spiritual things.

They can' t answer because they don't exist.

The One True Living God has spoken to us through His Son. God is alive and communicates directly today...that He loves us...that He is Most Merciful...and will do literally anything to have us back ultimately demonstrated by the Cross of Calvary.

The Cross is that eternal exclamation point which will be that statement which rings forever...a blessing to those who gladly receive and then shout and praise and worship in thanksgiving for what He did upon it...or remain a curse, the final judgement, and the hammer pounding that final nail of the coffin upon those who ignore let alone ridicule that one and only vehicle through which man can be reconciled to God.

I am in union with You and it is my divine privilege to exchange with You forever in the goodness of Who You are. I will expend my life telling others of how awesome You are. You will have my praise and thanksgiving forever
